The Project

Pacy & Wheatley were appointed to complete an interior fit out to an existing furniture outlet in Cannock, Staffordshire. The showroom was purchased by the Nobia group to enable a Magnet showroom to be created. This was far from a typical Magnet fit out as the existing showroom had a mezzanine floor along with a mini mezzanine floor situated half way up and at both sides of the 2 internal staircases. This meant that a lot of thought and planning had to go into the way the displays were to be set out. As usual on a Magnet fit out, new flooring was installed along with new ceilings, formation of staff areas and new Toilet facilities. This is the biggest showroom in the UK operated by Magnet, with a total of 22 Kitchens being installed. New external doors were also fitted as well as full external decoration of the building.

The Solution

All of the above had to be taken into account to allow the project to be completed whilst we carried out the standard fit out of forming both a retail showroom, trade showroom and warehouse. Due to this being an existing building, the project proved to be very challenging to complete due to the complex size and layout of the store we inherited. We were also only given 8 weeks to complete the whole project, which in itself was very tight indeed with many long days and weekends worked in order to ensure completion on time.

Kitchen product shortages meant that we had to carefully check all items delivered and then ensure that any shortages were fed back to the client to ensure product launch in line with marketing and press releases.

Another difficult project in a demanding location completed to the clients full satisfaction, along with zero accidents due to careful and studious planning and all parties working as a team to achieve the desired end product.
