The Project
Pacy & Wheatley Interiors have completed a Hotel Interior Refurbishment for the Holiday Inn Express in Bristol. We were appointed on a tendered basis to carry out the internal refurbishment to the public areas at the HIX, Bristol. This hotel was purchased from a competitor around 10 years ago. In this time, various areas of the hotel have been modernised, and on this occasion the check-in and public areas were upgraded.
The Hotel itself was open while works were in progress, but this area within the ground floor was sealed off. Pacy & Wheatley operatives completely gutted the place, knocking out various walls and totally redesigning the internal fabric of the public area. We installed new ceilings, new flooring, a new bar area, complete new lighting, refurbished the existing Toilets and totally redecorated the whole area. The total project was carried out in 5 weeks. Health and safety was of paramount importance which resulted in zero accidents. Although it was a tight programme, the project was handed over on time and on budget.
The Solution
The completed works have resulted in a brighter, more modern, user-friendly public area designed and completed to the agreed specification. Atlas hotels are highly delighted with the transformation and have advised us that they, in turn, have had very positive customer feedback.
