Interior Refurbishment – Doncaster Royal Infirmary
Posted on 18 August 2021
As part of our ongoing healthcare construction services for the NHS trust, Pacy & Wheatley are pleased to announce that we have completed refurbishment on the exterior and interior components of Emergency Department Area 1 at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. This interior refurbishment was completed over a period of 13 weeks in the run-up to, and after, Christmas 2020. The project needed to incorporate the following:
A new space between A&E admission.
Extra back office space for ambulance teams to bring patients into the A&E building.
New admin reception with state-of-the-art facilities, including new sealing, flooring, and glazed counters.
New water supplies.
A new heating system.
New entrances and exits doors for the car park.
Resurfacing the car park area.
With a challenging environment for our healthcare workers, we set about this tender contract of a project value of £270,000 by focusing on each area to instil a brighter and more modern ambience. The focus was to ease the pressure on the NHS staff and bring the area up-to-date, making for a more modern environment, while also making sure the logistics help our emergency service workers to complete their jobs more efficiently.
The solution has been well received by the NHS workers, staff members, and the patients coming into the hospital. The change in logistics and a more vibrant space has brought about improved treatments and a more professional environment, which is down to the incorporation of the state-of-the-art facilities now on display. We have provided many solutions for interior refurbishment and healthcare clients.
