Pacy & Wheatley Interiors provide expert interior fit-out and refurbishment services to clients throughout the UK. We've worked on several refurbishment and fit out projects for Ready Steady Store, who provide 24/7 access self-storage units, giving customers a secure location to store their goods, accessible round the clock. Our interior refurbishment services have helped Ready Steady Store provide these secure storage spaces to customers across several locations throughout the country.
Cranford Lane, Heston
Our client purchased this unit as it was the ideal size and location for one of their storage units. We were awarded the project at a very late stage, and the client had tight, strict deadlines for opening. This put a number of restrictions on our work, and added to the challenge of the strip out and fit out process.

Typically, we would have around a week to install any staircases before the mezzanine floor installers commence their works. In this case, we had to work alongside the mezzanine floor installers to install the staircase due to tight deadlines. Close liaison and various meetings had to take place between the Pacy & Wheatley Interiors team and the mezzanine floor installation team, ensuring all works could be completed to schedule.

At the beginning of the project, we had less than a week to mobilise to keep to the client's strict deadlines. As the new unit had already been equipped and fit out for another user's specifications, the existing interior had to be completely stripped out. We stripped out the existing mezzanine floor, offices and toilet facilities, leaving the building a bare shell, before beginning the fit out for the storage facility.

Our fit our consisted of building two fire staircases, and forming a new reception area, toilets, kitchen area and meeting rooms. The project was handed over on time and to budget, and because of our focus on health and safety, was completed with zero accidents.

Worthing, West Sussex
Our team are currently working on an interior refurbishment project and fit out solution for a Ready Steady Store unit in West Sussex. At the beginning of this project, the building was a dilapidated old warehouse. Now it's close to completion, set to provide a new self-storage facility, with 24/7 secure access.

After completely stripping out the old warehouse, we installed new electrics, new toilets and a new mezzanine. Most of the car park is ready to be re-tarmacked, the building has had a new roof installed, and a new external office area has been installed. The project is due to be completed on schedule.

    Nottingham University Hospitals, NHS Trust

Pacy & Wheatley Interiors were contacted in regard to getting involved in an urgent project to completely strip out and refurbish the Southwell Ward at Nottingham City Hospital. The brief to this project was that once commenced, this project needed to be completed in 12 weeks, a very tall undertaking based on the amount of work involved. However, after several meetings, a programme was put together which involved a large portion of the works being carried out on both days and nights, 6 days a week, in order to give all involved the best chance of completing the works to a very challenging timescale. The works undertaken involved the full strip out of the existing ward, including substantial M&E works, new flooring to all the wards, new doors, new counters and Kitchen units were also installed on the Joinery element of the works. New lay in grid Ceilings were installed along with specified LED Lighting upgrades and the whole ward was fully Decorated throughout.

This, in essence, was a monumental challenge for all involved, including the Architect, Consultants, the in-house NHS team, and, of course, the P&W site and Management team. The delivery of this project needed careful planning and completion of areas of the ward in a phased manner to ensure that all of the trades involved could access specific areas to complete their works. This was achieved for the most part due to thorough planning and due consideration given to all of the trades participating on the project.

Pacy & Wheatley have now delivered a modern, state-of-the-art facility for both Hospital patients and staff, completed in record time. Thanks must go to all involved for their dedication and application in ensuring we got over the line and completed this project. Many Thanks to both Adam Cox ( Site Manager ) along with Steve Shaw ( Project Manager ) and Charlotte Wheatley ( Project QS ) for their outstanding effort in delivering this project which was delivered with zero accidents which in itself is a testament to the planning and execution of the works.
