Scoring A Winner For Doncaster Rovers

Pacy & Wheatley Interiors completed the remodelling and provided a modern and contemporary facility for the Directors of Doncaster Rovers Football Club. This exciting project needed to deliver new toilet facilities, a bar trophy cabinet and total remodel of the existing lounge box and seating area.
The existing facility opened for its first match on 1st January 2007, as a community stadium for Doncaster. It had no affiliation to any Doncaster sporting body, and as such, was designed with no bells and whistles that a typical League One or Championship Club would require for its directors' suite. The club signed on for a 99-year lease in 2012, and in 2015, there was a desire to create a contemporary feel to the Director's Lounge and bring a more relaxed area to the Director's Box and Rovers brand.
We proposed an option that needed fast execution to be ready for the new season, which was carried out which the help of our architect, Mr Richard Taylor (ACP architects) who we had worked with previously on the fitness suite within the stadium, and who had designed the stadium itself. With regular meetings and idea exchanges between ourselves and the club's directors, the proposals and offerings had to be actioned quickly. No detail was left overlooked, including bar designs, specially-designed trophy cabinets and carpets produced using the club's logo. We added new logo seating to the balcony and fitted furniture, ceiling designs and feature column. We created a curved wall within the corridor to highlight the area, working successfully within the box area.
This was a challenging, fast-pace project that was completed within six weeks, ready for the first friendly game of the 2015-2016 season. We were honoured to complete the work for the club of our home town, plus it was completed on time and to budget, leaving fully satisfied clients. A great success and one of our most enjoyable projects to date.
