Education Interior Fit-Out, Bradford
- Client: Education
- Location: Bradford
- Project Value: £600k
- Project Duration: 7 Weeks
- Type: Interior fit-out
Project Description
Pacy & Wheatley have been appointed as Principal Contractor by a returning client in the education sector to deliver a comprehensive programme of fire safety upgrade works and interior fit-out at one of their schools in Bradford.
The project includes the installation of a new fire alarm system, a full electrical rewire, and upgraded emergency lighting throughout the building.
Following the completion of these works, the team will install new bulkheads to the skylights across the classrooms, along with new suspended ceilings and fire doors. The team is excited to deliver these improvements and create a safer, refreshed learning environment ready for staff and pupils to return after the summer holidays.
The Challenge
As with all school summer works programmes, the key challenge is completing the project within a tight timeframe while ensuring all systems are fully operational and compliant before the start of the new term.
To meet this challenge, the project team will implement a phased handover approach, allowing completed areas to be inspected, tested, and handed back progressively. This strategy will help maintain programme momentum, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure a high-quality finish throughout the school.
The Solution & Key Achievements
Consistent and transparent communication will be at the heart of this project's success. Daily briefings between the Pacy & Wheatley site team and key stakeholders will ensure progress is closely monitored, challenges are addressed quickly, and the programme remains on track.
Through careful planning, phased delivery, and strong collaboration, the team is committed to providing a safe, modernised school environment that is ready to welcome teachers and pupils back for the new academic year.
