Project Description
Pacy & Wheatley have been lucky enough to be able to complete further upgrade works for Ash Grove Primary School. These works focused on transforming the external features of the infant building with the installation of new Rockpanel cladding, double-glazing window units, and aluminium fascia to replace the weather timber boards that were previously there.
The work is not just to improve the aesthetic qualities of the building but also to improve the thermal and acoustic qualities to benefit the children.
The Challenge
The project was to be completed in 10 weeks while the school remained operational; this meant we had to work around the children’s activities, keep noise down, and board up any areas we were working in to avoid any distractions from learning. Though it was a challenging setting, we worked closely with the staff to work around their plans and ensure disruption was kept to a minimum.
