The Project

Pacy & Wheatley Interiors have recently completed the Helicopter Pad installation project at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The works included interior fit-out works for the access/egress from the helipad into the hospital, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient transfer process, and mechanical and electrical service installation for the new helicopter pad. The project was completed in June 2024 and is in line with our programme. It has taken hard work and determination to deliver this flagship project, and is a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Well done to our Projects Manager, Steve Shaw, Quantity Surveyor Charlotte Wheatley, Site Manager Duncan Henderson and his site team for their hard work and commitment to what was a challenging project both logistically and from a health and safety perspective.

Our construction team also worked on this project, completing the erection of a new complex steel frame and cladded structure that houses two new lifts, a plant room, and new fire escape stairs leading to the main building.

Healthcare New Build, York

Project Description

Here at Pacy & Wheatley Interiors, we are privileged to be working with McLeod & Aitken and Barchester Healthcare, who are returning old clients of ours. This new-built care home has experienced an increase in dementia patients, so urgent upgrades to the second floor had to be completed to ensure their comfort and safety.

The refurbishment consisted mainly of decoration and new flooring in the corridors and amenity rooms to follow the Memory Lane scheme and safety features that are assigned to all Barchester Healthcare homes. We also transformed an old therapy room into a new sensory room by installing a star gaze ceiling panel to bring the beautiful night sky indoors for everyone to enjoy.

Healthcare Fitout Worcester

Project Description

Pacy & Wheatley has completed the 2nd Eye Health Clinic for Newmedica, a healthcare fit out project in Worcester, who is one of the leading independent sector providers of NHS funded ophthalmology services in England.

On this project we stripped the building back and started from scratch, all new partitions had been installed, forming theatre, specialist operation rooms and lots of consulting rooms. After the rooms were formed, they all had a full new M&E systems installed and an up to date specification interior fitout, which consisted of flooring, decoration and FF&E.

The project was split across 2 floors so to aid in transporting materials and patients to the 1st floor we installed the Newmedica team, with a new lift to ensure safety and ease when moving around the building.

We had worked tirelessly over the 2 floors, and we handed over a fantastic project to the new staff and they opened on time and in budget.

New Water supplies and a heating system was also installed. Externally new automatic entrance/exit doors were fitted and the car park within the designated area was resurfaced in order to ease the use of trolley beds gaining entrance to the newly formed area The solution has resulted in a brighter more modern entrance area which logistically eases the pressure on the NHS staff operating in this department. The new facility has been received very favourably by all of the staff and patients arriving into the Hospital who will now receive quicker, more professional treatment within a very modern state of the art facility.

Healthcare refurbishment and extension, Nottingham

The first phase was to build a Brick extension to the existing CT area. The Second Phase was to refurbish the current CT6 block. Once this extension was completed and fully utilised, we refurbished the existing sites, including a new reception and treatment area in the CT Section. New treatment rooms were formed along with a modern and comfortable waiting area. New Toilets were installed, as well as offices and storage rooms.
